As you may know, Liv is based at Stockwood business park on Rush Farm, in beautiful Worcestershire. We love working here, not only because of the amazing views, fresh air and animals, but because of the incredible community trust that owns the farm and the business park.
Rush Farm is owned by Stockwood Community Benefits Society, a co-operative that aims to preserve this amazing rural haven in perpetuity. Having witnessed the loss of his Grandfather’s biodynamic farm due to succession issues, Liv Co-founder Sebastian didn’t want to see Rush Farm go the same way, so a plan was hatched to not only maintain its ecological farming tradition – no matter what happens to the current tenant farmers – but to also integrate the project with the community by selling shares. You can read much more about this amazing story here – we think that this kind of project fits very nicely with the Liv ethos!
So now we at Liv are all co-owners of our favourite place to work – what could be cooler than that!
What relevance does this all have to Liv though? Well, coming up this weekend (Sunday 6th December) is the Rush Farm Christmas Fayre, a fantastic annual event featuring a reindeer procession, Father Christmas in his Grotto, Tractor rides and of course, mince pies and mulled wine! Also at the fayre however, you will find our Liv stall, offering lovely Christmas gifts and special offers, so if you happen to be in the Worcestershire area and fancy a special day out, please come along! (But don’t forget your Wellies!!)
Oh yes, and all investors in the farm have a 15% discount from Liv!
